Show & Tell Designs

This is my new blog, Show and Tell Web Designs. Show & Tell Designs, based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, is me, Sheila Conkling, designer. I started this blog for my design business to post projects I am working on to inspire or to be inspired. I am also a Realtor (Smith & Conkling) who specializes in marketing luxury homes and have been in marketing and sales since 1995. I first started building websites and doing design work for my listings and real estate business. Then I began to do it for friends and family.

However, in October 09, my husband and I had a baby boy. It was quite a "shock" due to our age. We are both in our 40's and have a grown son who is 27. Because being a successful Realtor requires working very long hours, I made the decision to start a website and design business. This allows me to work less hours in Real Estate by being more selective on the listings I take. By doing so, I am able to work from home more so I can be with my precious baby Heath. Don't get me wrong, I love selling Real Estate and have always had a passion for it. But I absolutely love designing websites and doing graphic design too!

My "niche" in this industry has been to build websites that will have impact and information to get RESULTS! I spend a lot of time surfing the Web, and see too many web sites that are messy, boring, too busy, full of missing links, and lacking even basic information. I look forward to sharing these projects with you in the future!
